Responsibilities
- Create and run test cases for networking products such as switches, pro routers, access points, and security devices with advanced wireless and network capabilities.
- Verify wireless networking functionalities including 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax/be standards, roaming, band steering, DFS, and mesh networking.
- Assess and troubleshoot wireless security protocols like WPA2 and WPA3, along with firewall performance, VPN connections, and access control mechanisms.
- Ensure compatibility between wired and wireless systems across Layer 2 and Layer 3 network devices, including switches, routers, and client endpoints.
- Build and sustain automated test scripts using Python and the Robot Framework for efficient validation processes.
- Collaborate with senior QA and development engineers to isolate, reproduce, and resolve technical issues.
- Log and monitor defects in Jira, update test documentation in Confluence, and manage version control of test scripts via Git or GitHub.
- Perform testing in both simulated and real-world environments using physical networking equipment such as switches, access points, clients, and security gateways.
- Engage in Agile workflows and coordinate with cross-functional teams including embedded systems, cloud, and QA groups.
