Responsibilities
- Define unified system architecture across power, sensing, computing, and communication platforms.
- Develop the edge-AI compute infrastructure by selecting and integrating processors and accelerators optimized for on-device inference efficiency.
- Design and integrate electronic systems including power distribution, battery management, motor and thruster control, and sensor interfaces.
- Build and maintain embedded software, autopilot systems, firmware, and low-level drivers for reliable operation in harsh maritime conditions.
- Ensure system robustness through engineering for watertightness, power efficiency, thermal performance, electromagnetic compatibility, and fail-safe behaviors.
- Lead hands-on system bring-up, testing, and sea trials in real marine environments.
- Guide component selection, vendor partnerships, and the evolution of test and manufacturing processes from prototype to production.
