As an Embedded Firmware Engineer, you will play a key role in developing and integrating embedded C drivers and components for cutting-edge audio hardware. This 5-month contract centers on customer-facing audio projects, including Truly Wireless Earbuds, Headsets, and Speakers, primarily built on Qualcomm's latest S7 platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, prototype, and integrate low-level firmware components for embedded audio systems
- Configure and validate hardware-software interactions during early development and pre-production phases
- Develop and execute unit and integration tests to ensure software reliability
- Use code analysis tools to detect and resolve potential issues in firmware implementations
What You Bring
- Minimum of 5 years in embedded systems development with strong proficiency in C
- Hands-on experience with Qualcomm Bluetooth SoCs such as QCC51**, QCC309*, or QCC71**
- Familiarity with low-level debugging, driver implementation, and SDK (ADK) updates
- Working knowledge of peripheral interfaces including SPI, UART, I2C, and USB
- Ability to interpret sensor datasheets and develop corresponding drivers
- Experience with agile workflows such as Scrum or KanBan
- Fluency in written and spoken English
Nice to Have
- Prior work with Qualcomm S7 or S5 platforms
- Background in Bluetooth or other wireless communication protocols
- Experience optimizing firmware for battery-powered, memory-constrained devices
- Familiarity with STM microcontrollers and charging circuit topologies
- Hands-on use of lab equipment like logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, and power measurement tools
- Exposure to production support and mobile developer collaboration
