As an Electronics Engineering Specialist, you will play a key role in designing and validating electrical, instrumentation, and automation systems used in transit and locomotive environments. Working within a monitoring team and reporting to the Product Line Manager, you will help transition new products from prototype to full-scale production under the guidance of senior engineering staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with engineering teams to advance product development through all technical phases
- Analyze and interpret PCB, electrical, and mechanical schematics to support design and troubleshooting
- Design and verify electrical circuits, printed circuit boards, hardware fixtures, and test jigs
- Develop accurate bills of materials (BOMs), test procedures, and assembly documentation
- Estimate project timelines and ensure design deliverables meet technical and compliance standards
- Review engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements for completeness and accuracy
- Conduct testing to verify compliance with industry regulations and certification requirements
- Write and test embedded C code for microcontroller-based systems and real-time applications
Qualifications
Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a closely related field, along with at least five years of hands-on experience in circuit design and product development. Proficiency in Altium Designer and OrCAD is required, along with demonstrated knowledge of circuit theory, electronic components, and PCB layout principles.
Experience with embedded systems, firmware integration, and communication protocols such as I2C, SPI, and UART is essential. Familiarity with real-time or memory-constrained operating environments and C programming is expected. Strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, and clear communication skills are critical for success.
Applicants should be capable of working both independently and as part of a collaborative team, managing priorities effectively in a fast-paced setting. Occasional travel (up to 10%) may be required, including trips to customer sites and the United States.

This is an onsite position with limited travel expectations. The role demands precision, problem-solving, and a commitment to quality throughout the product lifecycle.
Compensation and Benefits
