Responsibilities
- Supports electrical engineering teams in designing and laying out electrical hardware, with a focus on printed wiring boards, while accurately interpreting standard design specifications.
- Handles PWB designs of varying complexity, including the preparation of related technical documentation.
- Operates with limited supervision from senior staff, demonstrating independent judgment and technical capability.
- Provides consistent input to leadership on the efficiency and usability of existing workflows and procedural guidelines.
- Collaborates frequently with design for manufacturability (DFM) specialists to establish production requirements that ensure successful fabrication.
- Helps engineers with setting and modifying design constraints within CAD tools.
- Engages regularly with multiple senior technical experts across collaborative design initiatives.
- Seeks managerial guidance when encountering contradictory direction from team members.
- Clearly conveys project progress and challenges to both management and project team members through verbal or written communication as needed.
- Completes additional assigned tasks as required.
