Responsibilities
- Produce detailed quantity takeoffs and precise cost projections for commercial electrical projects of intermediate complexity.
- Analyze construction drawings, project specifications, request for quotes, and request for proposal documents to determine project requirements.
- Help compile comprehensive bid submissions, including scope summaries and necessary supporting materials.
- Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to gather pricing data for equipment and materials.
- Detect discrepancies, missing scope elements, and potential risks in bid documents and report findings to senior estimation staff.
- Apply reasoned assumptions during the estimating process and clearly document all such assumptions within estimate records.
- Engage in internal review sessions for estimates and implement revisions as directed by leadership.
- Participate in site visits when necessary, noting variances between design documents and actual field conditions.
- Assist in project handover meetings by providing detailed estimate breakdowns and clarifications.
- Monitor bidding activities, maintain estimate tracking logs, and support follow-up efforts after bid submissions.
- Safeguard sensitive pricing information, estimation data, and internal company details.
- Carry out additional tasks as assigned to meet departmental and organizational objectives.
