Position Overview
A skilled Electrical Engineer is sought to drive the design and development of commercial dishwashing and dispensing equipment. Based in Memphis, TN, this position requires hands-on engineering work in a collaborative, in-office environment. The engineer will lead innovation initiatives from concept through implementation, ensuring technical excellence and adherence to industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and improvement of electromechanical systems for commercial cleaning and dispensing applications, managing projects from initial concept to final validation.
- Ensure all equipment designs meet applicable regulatory standards, including those set by NSF, UL, CSA, and various federal, state, and local agencies.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners such as contractors, architects, and consultants to resolve technical challenges and support product deployment.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive engineering documentation for design control, field service, and compliance purposes.
- Provide expert guidance to sales and field personnel on technical specifications, code requirements, and system integration.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in electrical and electronic system design, with a focus on embedded hardware and software integration.
- Proven familiarity with plumbing, electrical, and sanitation codes such as UPC, BOCA, ASSE, and FDA guidelines.
- Direct experience navigating certification processes with regulatory bodies and maintaining compliance across product lifecycles.
