This role is for a seasoned electrical engineer who thrives in technical leadership, guiding product development from concept through qualification. You'll ensure designs meet rigorous performance, compliance, and customer requirements while mentoring project leads and driving continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct engineering teams in the development of high-reliability embedded computing systems, setting technical standards and project direction
- Identify and resolve technical and process challenges across the product lifecycle
- Lead design reviews, technical audits, and root-cause analyses to maintain quality and compliance
- Advise on customer-facing project decisions, reporting, and requirements alignment
- Support long-term technology planning and product evolution strategies
- Track and report project performance metrics to leadership and stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in embedded systems design and development
- Proven leadership in engineering projects, with experience managing cross-functional teams
- Strong grasp of electrical, mechanical, and software integration principles
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and onsite in Verona, WI
Preferred Experience
- 13+ years in embedded engineering
- Familiarity with form factors such as VPX, COM Express, XMC, VME, cPCI, and ATCA
- Experience with military standards including MIL-STD 810, 461, 464, 704, 1275, and DO-160
- Background in environmental testing: shock, vibration, temperature, humidity, altitude, and EMI/EMC
- Knowledge of embedded components including CPU, FPGA, SSD, DDR, TPM, and IPMC

This is an onsite position located at 9901 Silicon Prairie Parkway, Verona, WI, with flexible scheduling available.
