Position Overview
We are seeking a responsible driver based in Augsburg, Germany to support a field data collection initiative. The role involves operating a vehicle outfitted with 360-degree camera systems to capture detailed visual data of streets, commercial zones, historical landmarks, and public spaces. This project contributes to the enhancement of a widely used online mapping service and requires consistent, high-quality data collection over a minimum period of 8 months.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive assigned routes using a vehicle equipped with panoramic imaging technology
- Focus on capturing data in commercial and historically significant areas
- Ensure image quality meets project standards, including returning to locations when weather affects clarity
- Operate onboard computer systems and camera equipment during drives
- Securely store collected image data on in-vehicle computing devices
- Maintain reliable and consistent data collection throughout the project lifecycle
Required Qualifications
- Valid German or international driver’s license with 1–2 years of driving experience
- Authorization to work in Germany
- Access to secure vehicle parking at home or residence
- Successful completion of a background check
- Minimum 3-month availability
- Strong attention to detail and personal responsibility
- Proficiency with smartphones and basic applications
- Basic computer literacy and comfort with onboard digital systems
- Reliable, self-motivated, and capable of working independently

Technical Environment

Work Schedule
This is a local, full-time position based in Augsburg. Work hours follow a Monday–Friday schedule, 8 hours per day (40 hours weekly), with potential for additional hours as needed. The role requires physical presence and adherence to planned routes and data quality benchmarks.
