DaVita was looking for a Director, Talent Acquisition

DaVita is looking for a Director, Talent Acquisition to lead a team of professionals responsible for filling critical field positions such as patient care technicians, registered nurses, and clinical leadership. You will partner with field operational leaders to align talent strategies with business needs, managing the entire function for a ~$500 million business lane across a large multi-state geography and executing initiatives for approximately 3000 hires per year.

What You'll Do

  • Provide day-to-day management, education, support, and coaching for a talent acquisition manager/supervisor and partners, totaling ~20 direct/indirect reports.
  • Own the entire talent acquisition function for a ~$500 million business lane in a large multi-state geography.
  • Work closely with operational business partners and key stakeholders to align hiring needs and strategies to meet objectives.
  • Establish and manage a cohesive talent acquisition team that excels at meeting business hiring targets.
  • Manage, leverage, and challenge existing recruiting strategies, methods, and systems to increase application volume, improve candidate quality, and reduce time to hire.
  • Lead the team to utilize our Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to its fullest extent.
  • Consult with operational business partners on recruiting process, strategy, and expectations.
  • Execute and track performance of recruiting strategies to hit defined goals and metrics.
  • Monitor and track metrics to identify trends and redirect the team as appropriate.
  • Stay informed of trends and innovative recruiting techniques to attract top talent.
  • Manage internal and external recruiting activities including teammate referral programs and student internship programs.
  • Build effective relationships with all internal and external clients.
  • Centralize communications and streamline reporting processes to talent acquisition leaders.
  • Serve as the talent acquisition liaison for company-sponsored committees and initiatives.
  • Collaborate with talent acquisition leadership to effectively manage pilot recruitment programs.
  • Work with operational partners to identify recruitment challenges within regions and divisions.
  • Develop and foster strong partnerships with the People Services management team, region/division management, and corporate talent acquisition.
  • Know, understand, implement, and follow DaVita teammate and employment guidelines.

What We're Looking For

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a related area.
  • In-depth knowledge of AAPs (Affirmative Action Plans) and laws/regulations related to staffing and recruitment.
  • Intermediate computer skills and proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Nice to Have

  • A Master’s degree.
  • A minimum of 5 years of management experience; multi-site, decentralized (off-site, home-based team) experience.
  • A minimum of 7 years of recruiting and/or related HR experience.
  • A minimum of 2 years of sales experience (inside or outside).
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in high-volume recruitment.
  • Knowledge of applicant tracking systems and significant experience with recruiting databases.

Team & Environment

You will lead a team of talent acquisition professionals, with ~20 direct/indirect reports. You will partner closely with field operational leaders (Directors and VPs) and collaborate with senior leadership, centers of excellence, and broader People Services teams.

  • Annual compensation: $146,600.00 - $175,000.00.
