OpenTable is hiring a Director, Product Design - TMS & Private Dining

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the design strategy for transportation management and private dining products.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, engineering, and marketing, to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Create and maintain design systems, style guides, and best practices to ensure consistency and efficiency.
  • Conduct user research and usability testing to inform design decisions and validate solutions.
  • Mentor and guide a team of product designers, fostering their professional growth and development.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand business objectives and translate them into design solutions.
  • Present design concepts and prototypes to stakeholders and gather feedback.
  • Ensure the design process aligns with agile development methodologies.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in product design.
  • Contribute to the overall design culture and community within the organization.
  • Manage design projects from concept to delivery, ensuring they meet quality and timeline requirements.
  • Collaborate with external partners and vendors to integrate design solutions.
  • Conduct design critiques and workshops to improve design quality and processes.
  • Define and track design metrics to measure the impact of design decisions.
  • Participate in the recruitment and onboarding of new design talent.
  • Advocate for user-centered design principles and practices.
  • Ensure accessibility and inclusivity in design solutions.
  • Collaborate with data and analytics teams to inform design decisions.
  • Develop and maintain design documentation and artifacts.
