Responsibilities

  • Lead, develop, and maintain a team of 8 engineers across infrastructure, DevOps/SRE, and end-user support through technical mentorship, career growth planning, and performance oversight.
  • Define and execute the platform strategy and roadmap to support business objectives and customer service commitments.
  • Monitor and report on key operational metrics such as system availability, MTTR, change success rates, incident frequency, and cloud cost efficiency to the CTO and executive leadership.
  • Drive platform planning and execution in alignment with product requirements, business goals, and SLAs.
  • Implement structured operational processes including incident reviews, change advisory meetings, service desk performance tracking, team retrospectives, and cultural improvement initiatives.
  • Manage the design, deployment, and 24/7 operations of a hybrid infrastructure environment combining Azure and on-premises systems for production and corporate use.
  • Ensure systems are highly available, scalable, performant, secure, and cost-effective across all environments.
  • Directly contribute to the architecture and implementation of cloud networking, identity management (Azure AD/Entra, RBAC), storage, backup, monitoring, and observability solutions.
  • Lead cloud cost optimization through rightsizing, reserved instances, architectural refinements, and governance policies across Azure workloads.
  • Set and enforce standards for networking, security, identity, logging, alerting, and operational consistency.
  • Advance DevOps and SRE adoption by establishing CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM/Bicep), containerization with Kubernetes, and modern deployment methods.
  • Personally deploy and manage Kubernetes clusters, container orchestration, service mesh, and cloud-native design patterns.
  • Institute SRE practices including error budgets, SLOs/SLIs, blameless post-incident reviews, observability via metrics/logs/traces, and a culture of reliability.
  • Enhance CI/CD tooling and workflows to accelerate releases, reduce deployment risk, and boost developer efficiency.
  • Establish change management protocols that include risk evaluation, testing, communication, and rollback plans while maintaining speed, safety, and audit compliance.
  • Implement security and compliance measures covering access controls, monitoring, vulnerability handling, incident response, and audit trail collection.
  • Enforce infrastructure security standards including network segmentation, firewall policies, encryption (at rest and in transit), secrets management, and privileged access controls.
  • Lead response to infrastructure and platform incidents, including root cause analysis, resolution, and process enhancements.
  • Own the disaster recovery strategy: define RPO/RTO targets, design multi-region and hybrid DR solutions, create runbooks, and conduct regular testing.
  • Ensure reliable backup and recovery across critical systems with documented procedures and verified restore capabilities.
  • Oversee desktop, endpoint, and telecom services—including laptops, mobile devices, collaboration tools, and voice systems—to deliver secure, dependable user experiences.
  • Implement IT service management processes for incidents, service requests, problem resolution, and asset tracking with defined SLAs and user satisfaction tracking.
  • Manage vendor relationships for infrastructure, telecom, SaaS, and managed services, including contract reviews, license optimization, and service quality assurance.

We are not considering candidates whose experience is primarily in healthcare or light-industrial staffing.- Well-connected with the Talent Ecosystem community (Talent Acquisition, Procurement, Managed Service Provider (MSP), Contingent Workforce Program leaders).- Strong established relationships with key decision makers in Tech, Finance, Engineering etc.- Entrepreneurial mindset.- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.- Must reside in the US.
