About the Role
This position leads sales strategy and execution for engagements with the USMC, overseeing team performance, pipeline development, and long-term account planning to meet revenue targets within the defense market.
Responsibilities
- Lead the creation and implementation of sales strategies tailored to the USMC
- Manage and grow key defense contracts with the Marine Corps
- Build and maintain high-level relationships within military procurement
- Drive quarterly and annual revenue goals specific to USMC accounts
- Collaborate with technical teams to align solutions with mission requirements
- Oversee proposal development and response to government solicitations
- Monitor sales pipeline health and forecast accuracy
- Identify new business opportunities within the USMC ecosystem
- Coordinate cross-functional efforts with compliance and legal departments
- Ensure adherence to federal contracting regulations and protocols
- Lead contract negotiations and pricing strategies for defense programs
- Provide regular performance updates to executive leadership
- Develop account plans for major USMC commands and divisions
- Train and mentor sales personnel on military sector nuances
- Stay current on defense budget trends and procurement cycles
- Represent the organization at industry events and defense forums
- Evaluate competitive positioning in the military technology space
- Align sales activities with broader government sales initiatives
- Ensure timely delivery of sales reports and metrics
- Support security clearance processes for relevant team members
- Maintain awareness of legislative impacts on defense spending
- Foster collaboration between engineering and customer requirements
- Drive customer satisfaction and post-sale support coordination
- Optimize sales tools and CRM usage for government tracking
- Promote ethical sales practices in all government engagements
