Lead the evolution of product design for a high-growth fintech platform by establishing and managing an in-house team of skilled designers. This role is central to defining the design vision, ensuring it aligns with both user needs and business objectives, while embedding user-centered practices across the development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and advance the product design strategy, ensuring seamless integration with company goals and user experience standards.
- Develop and refine a unified design system that supports consistency, accelerates development, and scales across platforms and product lines.
- Coach and grow a team of product designers, promoting a culture of innovation, collaboration, and ongoing skill development.
- Partner with product and engineering leaders to create efficient, integrated workflows across disciplines.
- Lead design workshops and reviews with stakeholders to align cross-functional teams and refine product direction.
- Oversee the creation of intuitive, accessible, and responsive designs for both web and mobile interfaces.
- Ensure all design outputs meet high standards for usability, accessibility, and performance.
- Stay current with design trends, tools, and methodologies, applying new insights to improve processes and outcomes.
- Champion the strategic value of design in driving product success and user satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years in product design with a strong portfolio showcasing impactful, user-focused solutions.
- Proven experience leading design teams and mentoring individual contributors.
- Deep expertise in building and maintaining design systems that bridge design and engineering workflows.
- Experience designing and scaling user research and usability testing processes.
- Extensive experience using Figma for design and collaboration.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain design rationale to diverse audiences.
Preferred Experience
- Background in SaaS, B2B, or marketplace platforms.
- Familiarity with data analytics tools to inform design decisions.
- Experience in UX writing and content strategy.
