About the Role

The role involves leading integrated marketing strategies and managing major events to enhance institutional visibility and engagement. The individual will supervise staff, coordinate cross-functional teams, and ensure brand consistency across all platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of comprehensive marketing plans
  • Oversee the planning and production of large-scale institutional events
  • Supervise a team of marketing and events professionals
  • Collaborate with senior administrators to align messaging with organizational priorities
  • Manage relationships with external agencies and vendors
  • Ensure consistent brand representation across all channels
  • Develop performance metrics to evaluate campaign effectiveness
  • Coordinate with academic and administrative units to promote key initiatives
  • Oversee budget planning and financial oversight for marketing and events
  • Serve as a primary liaison between marketing and other departments
  • Guide creative direction for digital and print materials
  • Lead crisis communication efforts when necessary
  • Represent the institution at public functions and industry forums
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards in marketing practices
  • Develop content strategies for websites, social media, and email campaigns
  • Manage timelines and deliverables for multiple concurrent projects
  • Train and mentor junior staff members
  • Evaluate emerging marketing technologies and platforms
  • Support fundraising and alumni engagement efforts through strategic outreach
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of higher education marketing trends
  • Ensure accessibility standards are met in all communications
  • Facilitate stakeholder feedback into marketing improvements
  • Oversee event logistics, including venue selection and vendor coordination
  • Produce post-event reports and impact assessments
  • Align marketing efforts with institutional branding guidelines

Compensation

Competitive salary and benefits package commensurate with experience

Work Arrangement

Full-time, on-site position with potential for limited flexibility based on operational needs

Team

Part of the senior leadership within the marketing and communications division, collaborating across departments and with external vendors
