About the Role
The Director of Financial Planning and Analysis will lead the financial planning and analysis team, collaborating with various departments to provide financial insights and support strategic initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement financial planning and analysis processes
- Prepare and review financial forecasts, budgets, and variance analyses
- Collaborate with department heads to understand financial needs and provide support
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and risks
- Create and maintain financial models and dashboards
- Support the annual budgeting and long-range planning processes
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data and reports
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior leadership
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency
- Manage and mentor a team of financial analysts
- Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, such as investors and lenders
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in financial planning and analysis
- Prepare and present financial reports to senior leadership and the board of directors
- Support the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures
- Conduct ad-hoc financial analyses as needed to support business decisions
- Ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and regulatory requirements
- Participate in cross-functional projects to support business initiatives
- Provide training and development opportunities for team members
- Monitor and manage departmental expenses and budgets
- Support the development and implementation of financial systems and tools
- Collaborate with the IT department to ensure the integrity and security of financial data
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external auditors
- Support the development and implementation of financial risk management strategies
