About the Role
Lead the strategy and execution of cloud infrastructure and platform services to support product development and system reliability.
Responsibilities
- Define and implement long-term technical vision for cloud and platform systems
- Manage engineering teams responsible for infrastructure, reliability, and platform tools
- Ensure high availability, scalability, and security of cloud environments
- Collaborate with product and engineering leaders to align platform capabilities with business goals
- Drive adoption of modern DevOps practices and automation
- Oversee incident response and disaster recovery planning
- Establish observability, monitoring, and performance optimization standards
- Guide technology selection and architectural decisions for platform components
- Lead capacity planning and cost management for cloud resources
- Foster a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement
- Develop and maintain platform roadmaps in coordination with stakeholders
- Support secure software delivery through CI/CD pipeline strategy
- Ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements
- Mentor engineering managers and individual contributors
- Evaluate and integrate third-party services and APIs
- Promote reusable infrastructure patterns and self-service tools
- Drive standardization of development environments
- Lead efforts to improve system resilience and reduce technical debt
- Partner with security teams to enforce cloud security best practices
- Manage vendor relationships related to cloud providers and platform tools
