Responsibilities
- Lead the creation and deployment of a Core Banking system using both vendor and internal development resources.
- Manage multiple application development teams and PODs, ensuring delivery aligns with business goals and schedules.
- Guide the architectural strategy, design, and full-stack implementation of high-performance, scalable software systems.
- Work closely with product management, UX/UI, quality assurance, and other stakeholders to shape and execute product roadmaps.
- Define and enforce software development best practices, including coding standards, peer reviews, CI/CD workflows, and test automation.
- Coach and grow engineering managers and senior developers, promoting innovation, teamwork, and ongoing technical advancement.
- Oversee team resourcing, budget planning, and prioritization across several concurrent technology initiatives.
- Ensure all developed applications meet strict standards for security, performance, and regulatory compliance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 15 years of software development experience, including at least 5 years in leadership roles managing multiple teams or PODs.
- Demonstrated success in leading large, complex software programs with cross-functional collaboration.
- Professional background in financial services, healthcare, or another regulated sector.
- Experience operating effectively in a matrixed environment with geographically dispersed teams.
Nice to Have
- Certifications in cloud technologies such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Azure DevOps Engineer.
- Extensive hands-on experience in full-stack development using current and emerging technologies.
- Adoption of an AI-first mindset across development, testing, and operational processes.
Compensation
Base salary expected between $127,000 and $300,000 per year, determined individually based on experience and location. Total compensation may include bonuses, incentives, and benefits. Salary is subject to adjustment based on performance, team results, and market conditions.
