Responsibilities
- Represent Specialty's interests on Frontier, ensuring requirements are captured and implemented accurately throughout a multi-year transformation.
- Develop expertise in all Specialty rating programs, including coverages, rating structures, data definitions, and pipelines.
- Take full ownership of pricing design and modeling for Condo and RV insurance programs from start to finish.
- Facilitate coordination among Product, Technology, Delivery, and Actuarial teams to maintain progress and identify issues promptly.
- Investigate new modeling approaches, experiment with novel variables, and discover data sources to enhance competitive positioning.
- Participate in significant modeling and analytical projects across the Specialty insurance portfolio.
- Articulate complex technical concepts clearly to senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Supervise, mentor, and grow a team of 3 to 5 data science professionals.
Requirements
- Experience in personal lines insurance.
- Practical skills in modeling using tools like Python, SAS, or Emblem.
- Capability to work collaboratively and secure agreement across large, diverse teams.
- Knowledge of how to establish and maintain a high-performance team environment.
- Familiarity with predictive modeling software such as Python, SAS, Emblem, or Excel.
- Solid grasp of data sources, rating systems, and the business context of Specialty Lines, including products, systems, and pricing strategies.
- Proven ability to convey intricate information effectively through speech, visuals, and writing to various audiences and levels.
- Skill in fostering relationships and achieving consensus across extensive cross-functional groups.
- Aptitude for leveraging data and analysis to persuade teams, department heads, and executives.
- Focus on value with keen awareness of business implications and outcomes.
- Initiative to question existing practices and pinpoint opportunities for enhancing team and organizational effectiveness.
