About the Role
This role requires a player-coach leader to shape the long-term data architecture and lead a multidisciplinary data team. The director will split time between hands-on development and strategic leadership, ensuring data reliability, scalability, and alignment with AI-driven growth. Success means establishing a data platform the company inherently trusts for decision-making, automation, and future innovation.
Responsibilities
- Design and manage high-impact data pipelines that synchronize business systems—such as CRM, billing, and internal platforms—with the Snowflake data warehouse in both directions
- Lead long-term data strategy and architecture planning while maintaining deep technical involvement in system operations and edge cases
- Define technical standards for data pipelines, modeling practices, and data quality across the organization; directly deliver the most complex or uncertain projects
- Recruit, organize, and lead a growing team of over five data professionals across Data Engineering, Machine Learning Engineering, and Analytics
- Manage workforce planning, hiring strategy, and budget allocation for the Data organization
- Collaborate with senior leadership, including the Chief Product and Technology Officer, to align data platform investments with company objectives
- Conduct audits of current data integrations and automation workflows to prioritize modernization and replacement efforts
- Promote enterprise-wide adoption of AI and automation, ensuring reliable data underpins LLM applications and intelligent agents, while contributing directly to key development tasks
