Kyndryl is hiring a Director, Consult Partner – Insurance (m/f/x)

This role leads multidisciplinary consulting teams to deliver strategic transformations for major insurance clients. The position emphasizes building trusted advisor relationships with C-suite executives, driving business development, ensuring delivery excellence, and achieving strong financial performance through high-impact consulting engagements.

Responsibilities

  • Drive financial performance by meeting revenue targets and securing new business contracts
  • Ensure long-term growth and profitability by managing margins and expanding project backlogs
  • Identify, pursue, and convert business development opportunities into successful engagements
  • Define project scope and negotiate fees while maintaining profitability and managing risk
  • Develop and sustain strong relationships with client CXOs, serving as a trusted advisor
  • Lead high-level client interactions and oversee consulting deliverables throughout the deal lifecycle
  • Leverage experience and credibility to guide and execute complex consulting projects
  • Improve client satisfaction through strong performance, measured by NPS, and secure client references
  • Meet individual and team utilization goals to ensure operational efficiency
  • Design complex consulting engagements and oversee delivery to ensure quality and client satisfaction
  • Lead by example, promoting continuous learning, innovation, and mutual support within teams
  • Ensure all project outcomes are commercially focused, valuable, and effectively implemented
  • Apply industry and technology expertise to influence and advance strategic initiatives
  • Support and execute the organization’s strategic vision
  • Enhance external reputation through thought leadership and innovation

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years in technology consulting with proven success in delivery, sales growth, and business development
  • Extensive experience managing client relationships at the CXO level
  • Proven ability to establish and monetize relationships with senior executives
  • Track record of leading complex projects with cross-functional teams in consulting or corporate environments
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in revenue growth and margin management
  • Experience leading or supporting high-value business development initiatives with senior stakeholders
  • In-depth knowledge of industry trends and technology advancements
  • Established personal brand and presence within the industry
  • Demonstrated ability to innovate and lead organizational change
  • Deep expertise in at least one of the following: Cloud, SAP, Security & Resiliency, Data & AI, Digital Workplace Services, Network, or Edge
  • Strong understanding of the insurance sector and an existing network of CXO-level contacts in Germany
  • Fluent in spoken and written German and English
