Shape and expand business relationships with event centers, venues, and commercial clients focused on outdoor lifestyles. As a Direct Sales Specialist, you'll lead outreach, identify new opportunities, and convert leads within your assigned area, ensuring alignment between customer needs and company capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage B2B and bulk sales relationships from initial contact through ongoing account growth
- Collaborate with sales, inventory, and logistics teams to support timely delivery and product availability
- Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue goals through proactive outreach and strategic account management
- Conduct market research to uncover leads and initiate cold outreach to expand your customer base
- Monitor performance metrics and financial data to guide decision-making and improve customer satisfaction
- Act as the primary liaison for B2B clients, communicating updates on inventory, delivery options, and new offerings
- Resolve customer concerns promptly and identify opportunities to strengthen loyalty
- Support core sales practices: greeting customers, identifying needs, recommending solutions, and closing sales
- Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activity, and evolving B2B models in the outdoor and rural lifestyle space
Qualifications
- High School diploma required; bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, or related field preferred
- Minimum of one year in outside sales experience
- Preferred background in B2B or bulk sales, especially with event venues or retail operations
- Experience in farming, ranching, welding, or equine/pet industries is a strong plus
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote)
- Familiarity with B2B sales tools and processes
- Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel frequently
Work Environment
This hybrid role includes regular field work, with 50% to 75% of time spent traveling to customer locations, stores, and distribution centers. Schedule may include evenings, weekends, and variable hours based on business needs.
