Responsibilities
- Architect and expand hosting solutions compliant with IL-5, preparing for IL-6 certification
- Assess and choose deployment methods for government networks, GovCloud, and mixed infrastructure platforms
- Create a production-ready environment enabling seamless deployments and large-scale system growth
- Develop and maintain a modern CI/CD system with built-in testing, security analysis, and compliance checks
- Configure and oversee development, staging, and live operational environments
- Ensure systems adhere to DoD security standards including Iron Bank, STIGs, ACAS/OpenSCAP, and FIPS
- Lead migration efforts from existing contractor systems and government-provided infrastructure
- Catalog, evaluate, and streamline current services, dependencies, and underlying infrastructure
- Refactor and unify system architecture into a more efficient, scalable, and supportable model
- Manage end-to-end release scheduling from feature intake to live deployment
- Maintain deployment integrity using monitoring tools, rollback capabilities, and performance indicators like uptime and error rates
- Enable continuous delivery that aligns with government operational cycles and deadlines
- Collaborate with security and Risk Management Framework leads to support Authorization to Operate planning
- Ensure pipelines produce necessary documentation and evidence for compliance audits and authorization
- Integrate security and compliance practices throughout the development lifecycle, not as final steps
Work Arrangement
Hybrid — includes work at USMC locations and Defcon AI headquarters

- U.S. citizenship is required
- Active Secret clearance; Top Secret or TS/SCI is preferred
- Must be willing to travel up to 25%, including to USMC sites, Defcon AI HQ, and vendor locations as needed
