Responsibilities
- Configure and manage the foundational Azure environment, including subscriptions, networking, identity management, policy enforcement, cost governance, and multi-environment architecture across development, testing, staging, and production.
- Implement all infrastructure components using code via Terraform or Bicep to ensure environments are consistent, auditable, versioned, and reproducible.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps or GitHub for backend, web, and mobile applications, incorporating automated testing and controlled release stages.
- Implement and manage customer identity solutions using Entra External ID or similar, handling registration, authentication, consent workflows, multi-factor authentication, and token management in collaboration with security leadership.
- Establish and maintain the mobile application build and deployment workflow using Expo EAS, including submissions to Apple and Google, code signing, and over-the-air update mechanisms.
- Deploy and manage containerized workloads using Azure Container Apps and expose services through Azure API Management, ensuring secure handling of secrets and keys.
- Set up managed database and data services with reliable backup strategies and secure connections to legacy systems and external vendors.
- Implement comprehensive observability with centralized logging, metrics collection, distributed tracing, dashboards, and alerting, along with incident response and on-call procedures.
- Enforce security standards by codifying policies and integrating automated checks into pipelines to ensure compliance by default.
- Empower development teams with standardized templates, clear documentation, and self-service tools that accelerate delivery on a trusted, well-maintained platform.
