Lead the evolution of cloud systems by designing and managing scalable AWS environments using infrastructure-as-code tools such as AWS CDK and Terraform. This role focuses on building automated, reliable solutions that support enterprise-level operations and long-term technical strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deploy advanced cloud architectures, ensuring systems are secure, efficient, and aligned with business goals
- Lead incident resolution for critical, multi-system outages, conducting root cause analysis and implementing preventive measures
- Manage end-to-end delivery of cross-functional projects, coordinating timelines, resources, and technical execution
- Act as a technical liaison during client engagements, translating requirements into actionable infrastructure plans
- Develop and deliver training to grow team capabilities, emphasizing best practices in automation, monitoring, and deployment
- Champion process optimization using data-driven insights to refine workflows and tooling across the DevOps lifecycle
- Partner with development, security, and product teams to integrate DevOps principles into organizational practices
Qualifications
- 4–8 years of experience in cloud engineering, DevOps, or site reliability roles
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional (required)
- Demonstrated expertise in AWS services, including EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, and CloudFormation
- Proficiency with automation tools: Terraform, Ansible, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines
- Strong scripting ability in Python or Bash
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Proven ability to lead technical projects and mentor junior engineers
- Experience communicating with clients and stakeholders across technical and non-technical domains
Preferred Background
- Hands-on experience delivering cloud projects from concept to production
- Track record of creating training or knowledge-sharing programs
- Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma methodologies for operational efficiency
- Experience in energy, utilities, or sustainability-focused technology sectors
- Work history with U.S.-based organizations
Technology Environment
Work across a modern DevOps stack including AWS, ECS, CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, Git, Jira, and Confluence. Leverage Python and Bash for automation, and use CI/CD tools to maintain rapid, reliable deployments.
