Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable automation systems in Python to ensure consistent deployment processes across cloud and on-premises infrastructure.
- Develop and refine Terraform code-generation platforms using Python and Jinja2 to streamline environment-specific infrastructure provisioning from reusable templates.
- Create and maintain Puppet configurations, including modules, manifests, and Hiera data, to manage large-scale Linux and Windows systems reliably.
- Build powerful PowerShell scripts to automate Windows server management, Active Directory tasks, and hybrid cloud integrations.
- Develop internal tools, command-line interfaces, and APIs that allow engineering teams to independently manage routine infrastructure operations.
- Integrate automation frameworks into CI/CD pipelines to enable automated testing, validation, and deployment of infrastructure changes.
- Implement thorough testing methodologies for infrastructure code, including unit tests, linting, and integration tests to ensure quality and stability.
- Collaborate with cloud, platform, and application teams to identify manual workflows and replace them with automated solutions.
- Produce clear documentation, standards, and operational runbooks to support long-term maintainability of automation systems.
- Support a culture of engineering excellence by participating in code reviews, sharing knowledge, and improving the security and quality of automation code.
