Role Overview
As a Demand Planning Analyst, you will shape inventory strategy by developing and refining stocking policies for service parts throughout the supply chain. Your work ensures optimal inventory availability and sustained service levels through data-driven planning and operational alignment.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and adjust stocking parameters such as min/max levels, reorder points, and service targets based on demand behavior and operational needs.
- Classify service parts using demand analysis, including A/B/C categorization, lumpy versus stable demand identification, and criticality assessment.
- Adjust planning policies in response to changes in lead times, supply constraints, and business priorities.
- Lead initiatives to right-size inventory and ensure accountability across stakeholder teams.
- Maintain and validate demand planning inputs in systems such as MARCS and F2K, aligning with strategic inventory goals.
- Review system-generated outputs to confirm accuracy and compliance with established policies.
- Partner with supply, procurement, and depot operations to align network-wide stocking strategies.
- Support long-term inventory planning in line with S&OP and strategic business objectives.
- Monitor fill rates, availability, and service performance to identify and act on improvement areas.
- Conduct safety stock evaluations and recommend updates based on variability, lead-time shifts, and risk considerations.
- Support depot-level UCS analysis to enhance space utilization and service coverage.
- Advance digital transformation by modernizing reporting through Power BI, SQL, and analytics platforms.
Technical Environment
You will work with MARCS, F2K, Power BI, SQL, and advanced analytics tools to manage planning workflows and deliver insights.
