Responsibilities
- Report to work punctually wearing the full uniform, with a clean vehicle and a full fuel tank.
- Keep the vehicle’s rooftop light illuminated at all times while on delivery duty.
- Gather all order components, including promotional items like dipping sauces and beverages.
- Assign delivery routes to yourself in the Pulse routing system within one minute of departing the store.
- Move quickly but safely between the store, vehicle, and customer locations.
- Carry hot food in insulated heat bags and cold items in designated plastic T-bags.
- Load assigned orders into a clean, company-approved vehicle suitable for deliveries.
- Operate the vehicle safely, following all traffic regulations during each delivery.
- Avoid making unscheduled stops without prior authorization.
- Collect payments from customers and return accurate change.
- Obtain signatures for all credit and debit card transactions.
- Monitor cash and receipts to ensure accurate totals at shift end.
- Use a drop box to limit cash in the bank bag to under $20; no money should remain in the vehicle.
- Address customer concerns, feedback, and questions promptly and professionally.
- Maintain a tidy, organized, and fully stocked driver work area.
- Help keep box storage areas, including the box hutch, clean and well-stocked.
- Verify cleanliness and inventory in the dining area at closing time.
- Inspect heat bags regularly to ensure they are intact and free from damage.
- Sweep the floor frequently and mop nightly as required.
- Wash dishes manually when the dishwasher is not available.
- Support kitchen operations by assisting with food preparation when needed, only as backup.
- Occasionally help take orders via phone, counter, or window service.
- Perform general cleaning duties throughout the store as needed.
