Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain Azure SQL and Oracle database environments.
- Monitor database performance, optimize queries, indexes, and storage utilization.
- Manage backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and high-availability solutions.
- Implement database security, access control, auditing, and encryption.
- Support schema deployments and database change management.
- Troubleshoot database performance, data-loading, and integration issues.
- Support development, testing, and production database environments.
Requirements
- Strong experience with Azure SQL administration.
- Experience administering Oracle databases in enterprise environments.
- Knowledge of database performance tuning and query optimization.
- Experience with backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.
- Understanding of database security, access control, and auditing.
- Experience with high availability and operational monitoring.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex database and integration issues.
Nice to Have
- Experience supporting PeopleSoft databases.
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric Warehouse or SQL Endpoint.
- PostgreSQL/PostGIS administration experience.
- Automation using PowerShell, Python, or database-native scripting.
