KinaTrax is hiring a Database Architect to build and scale our data infrastructure for biomechanics and motion capture analytics. You'll join our product development team to create a consistent, high-quality data solution for internal use and client-facing tools. Your work will directly enhance how professional and collegiate teams access game-changing insights about athlete performance.
What You'll Do
- Architect and evolve databases for all sport platforms to efficiently store and navigate large biomechanics datasets.
- Develop and maintain client-facing RESTful API solutions to enable database access for internal and external use cases.
- Optimize server load balancing techniques to support high-speed data egress for a growing client base.
- Design data-driven solutions to ensure company information is stored effectively and securely.
- Build tools to improve internal efficiency, accelerating data delivery and sharing speeds for clients.
- Assist in developing new software applications, with a focus on web reporting applications for additional sports like the NBA and NHL.
- Improve or implement UI/UX concepts within client-facing tools for data collection, visualization, and interpretation.
- Improve or implement hardware/software interfaces within existing and future hardware solutions.
What We're Looking For
- Proficiency in programming languages including C++, Ruby, Python, MySQL, and JavaScript (React, Node.js).
- Proficiency in using cloud storage and computing platforms like AWS, Azure, Cloudflare, and Dropbox.
- Proficiency in developing RESTful API solutions.
- Experience with JavaScript (React, Node.js), HTML, and CSS.
- Experience applying coding concepts to optimize performance and memory efficiency.
- Experience using Git for code collaboration.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team setting, ideally as part of a product development team.
Nice to Have
- Experience with motion capture technology and data analysis tools.
- A passion for sports and the use of athlete performance metrics.

Benefits & Compensation
- Salary Range: $116,000-$154,000
