About the Role
The Data Scientist will work closely with cross-functional teams to extract insights from healthcare data, develop statistical models, and translate findings into actionable strategies that improve patient outcomes and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Analyze large-scale healthcare datasets to identify trends and patterns
- Develop and validate predictive models for risk assessment and forecasting
- Collaborate with clinical and operational teams to define key metrics
- Design and implement data pipelines for real-time analytics
- Translate complex analytical findings into clear, actionable reports
- Support A/B testing and experimental design for program evaluation
- Maintain data integrity and ensure compliance with privacy standards
- Optimize machine learning workflows for scalability and performance
- Conduct exploratory data analysis to inform strategic initiatives
- Document methodologies and ensure reproducibility of results
- Evaluate data quality and recommend improvements to collection processes
- Work with engineering teams to integrate models into production systems
- Present insights to non-technical stakeholders using visualizations
- Monitor model performance and implement updates as needed
- Support grant reporting and regulatory documentation requirements
Nice to Have
- PhD in a quantitative discipline
- Experience with natural language processing on clinical text
- Familiarity with HIPAA and other healthcare compliance frameworks
- Knowledge of time series analysis and forecasting methods
- Contributions to open-source data science projects
- Experience mentoring junior analysts or data scientists
- Publication record in data science or health informatics
