At EMD Serono, we are seeking a Data Scientist to develop AI solutions that create tangible impact for our Electronics business. In this role, you will work on transformative use cases, translating Integrated Supply Chain requirements into implemented tools on our internal Data & Analytics platform.
What You'll Do
- Translate business requirements into effective solution designs.
- Implement robust tools on the internal Data & Analytics platform powered by Palantir Foundry and AWS.
- Collaborate closely with product owners, data analysts, data engineers, and domain experts throughout the project lifecycle.
What We're Looking For
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Engineering, or a similar field.
- 2+ years of professional experience outside of academia.
- Broad knowledge of Data Science methods (e.g., tabular ML, time series forecasting, Generative AI, simulation & optimization) with hands-on experience in some areas.
- Very good Python coding skills, with experience in collaborative development and rapid prototyping.
- Initial experience building end-to-end applications with basic knowledge of cloud-based ML Engineering stacks.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to present complex concepts to non-expert audiences.
- A curious, proactive mindset and a spirit of taking initiative.
- Proficiency in English.
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of Korean, Japanese, or Mandarin is a plus.
