AutoScout24 Engine GmbH is looking for a Data Scientist, Economics to join our global Data Science team. You will build quantitative and machine learning-driven solutions that impact millions of users, turning data into scalable products that drive business value. You will own models end-to-end with a strong focus on implementation and impact.
What You'll Do
- Design, build, and deploy predictive and generative AI systems for marketplace and fintech use cases.
- Own complex quantitative modelling and ML use cases end-to-end — from problem framing to deployment, monitoring, and iteration.
- Integrate ML and GenAI components into scalable product systems.
- Translate product and business goals into robust, data-driven solutions.
- Monitor model performance in production and continuously improve reliability and impact.
- Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering to ship measurable AI-enabled features.
What We're Looking For
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong working knowledge of economics, pricing, or business operations, serving as a subject matter expert.
- 3 - 5+ years of experience building and deploying quantitative and ML systems in production.
- Strong hands-on skills in Python, SQL, and modern ML frameworks.
- Experience deploying models via APIs and working with AWS or comparable cloud infrastructure.
- Solid understanding of ML methods, evaluation, monitoring, and MLOps practices.
- Experience integrating ML or GenAI components into real-world software systems.
