Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product teams to scope, ingest, and curate data that supports product development and delivery.
- Translate complex data requirements into actionable insights and visualisations.
- Support the ongoing development of digital tooling and data flows that underpin RESP products. Including documenting process and procedures.
- Enable the design and iteration of data identification and ingestion processes, ensuring traceability and alignment with RESP methodology.
- Engage with regional teams to understand local data contexts and integrate these into national products.
- Participate in agile sprints and workshops to refine data needs and support iterative product development
Requirements
- Proven ability to write and execute queries and scripts for data analysis (including libraries such as Pandas/GeoPandas).
- Demonstrated experience translating quantitative data into clear, compelling narratives.
- Experience with foundational geospatial concepts and analysis using either spatial SQL or GIS platforms (e.g., QGIS, ArcGIS).
- A strong track record of turning broad, strategic questions into specific, actionable analytical tasks.
- Excellent communication skills with experience collaborating within a multidisciplinary team and supporting the presentation of data to non-technical audiences.
- Comfortable working in an agile environment, participating in sprints, and contributing to the iterative development of data products.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Data Bricks.
- Experience designing, building, and maintaining interactive dashboards in tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Streamlit.
- Deeper proficiency in geospatial techniques, such as network analysis, raster processing, or spatial statistics.
- A background or strong interest in geography, urban/regional planning, infrastructure, or the energy sector.
- Previous experience working within the public sector, a regulated industry, or on large-scale strategic programmes.
- Practical experience navigating data licensing and governance frameworks (e.g., OS, ONS, OGL) within a project setting.
