DBS Bank is hiring a Data Scientist to uncover insights and build data-driven solutions that power our digital bank. You will translate business challenges into analytical frameworks and collaborate closely with product, technology, and regional teams to drive innovation and enhance customer journeys.
What You'll Do
- Structure, define, and execute data analysis to uncover insights and inform decision-making for the digital bank.
- Engage with business and product teams on problem formulation and solution framework creation.
- Collaborate with regional and local counterparts to define and align on performance metrics.
- Support ad-hoc data requests for management meetings.
- Formulate requirements and work with data engineering to develop and validate automated data pipelines for business performance dashboards.
- Design A/B test experiments to evaluate model effectiveness and identify target segments.
- Drive the testing and deployment of machine learning products into production.
- Analyze product journeys to help the business improve customer experience.
What We're Looking For
- 3-10 years of experience in Data Science or Analytics within Consumer Banking, Ecommerce, Retail, or Telecoms, with a demonstrated track record of generating value.
- Full understanding of applying DS/ML/AI solutions to various business problems.
- Proficiency in using databases like Teradata, NoSQL, and Hadoop with SQL, Hive, Spark.
- Programming experience in Python, R, Spark, SAS, TensorFlow or other ML-oriented languages/platforms.
- Good understanding of technology tools related to analytics, data, and modeling.
- Ability to communicate complex analysis and models across diverse teams.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Full understanding of at least one Lending Product.
- Strong academic background.
- Self-motivated, adaptable, focused, well-organized, creative, and a strategic thinker.
- Prior working experience in Analytics is required.
Nice to Have
- B.Sc./M.Sc. or equivalent degree in Statistics, Analytics, Applied Mathematics, Operation Research, or equivalent quantitative fields.
