Cloud Chamber is hiring a Senior Data Scientist to join the Core Games Insights team. You will be a lead data authority supporting major 2K core games from studios like Gearbox and Gravity Well. Your work will directly influence game design and growth, optimizing gameplay and player engagement from early production through launch and beyond.
What You'll Do
- Leverage product analytics, applied data science, and product management expertise to drive game strategy.
- Develop, test, and articulate opportunities for game features and economy optimization to improve player acquisition, engagement, retention, and monetization.
- Research and implement models to understand and improve in-game experiences, such as gameplay tuning and player segmentation.
- Partner with and present insights to key strategic business partners, including Growth Strategy, Marketing, and Product Development teams.
- Guide several in-development titles from early data creation through launch.
- Craft actionable insights for partners of all technical backgrounds to help lead changes in new and existing titles.

- A demonstrated foundation with technical breadth and expertise in statistics, machine learning, and data analytics.
- A creative problem solver and self-starter with a passion to drive impact.
- Ability to balance technical problem-solving with concise partner communications.
- Skill in presenting technical findings accessibly to partners of varying backgrounds.
- Proficiency in Python or R programming.
- Proficiency in relational databases and SQL.
- Proficiency with creating rich data visualizations and visual story-telling using platforms such as Tableau.
