What You'll Do
- Build strong relationships with cross-functional partners across Product, Design, Engineering, and Analytics to drive collaboration and innovation.
- Contribute directly to launching new data-driven products to help the Airbnb guest and host community.
- Write software in Python, SQL, or R to model, simulate, and measure the impact of new product features.
- Analyze structured or unstructured data to uncover meaningful insights and craft actionable proposals.
- Present findings and recommendations to leaders and stakeholders in a clear, compelling manner.
- Build data products from the ground up and evaluate feature impact using experimental and observational methods.
- Partner with stakeholders to develop and optimize product features.
- Ensure the team stays data-driven by surfacing meaningful insights that inform decisions and strategy.
- Rigorously quantify the effects of our latest innovations through a variety of measurement approaches.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of experience with a BS or masters degree, or 2+ years with a PhD.
- Experience with experimentation and causal observational analysis.
- Experience partnering closely with product, engineering, and design to enable data-driven product development.
- Experience prototyping, building, and scaling derived data assets.
- Strong coding skills in SQL and either Python or R.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, with an ability to communicate complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
- Work authorization (if applicable).
- Travel requirements (if applicable).
Nice to Have
- Prior experience working with geospatial data, LLMs, or NLP approaches.
