Responsibilities

  • Assesses incoming requests for predictive modeling initiatives with critical analysis.
  • Evaluates incoming requests for predictive modeling initiatives with critical analysis.
  • Creates detailed project specifications, including objectives, methodologies, timelines, and expected outcomes.
  • Submits requests and development strategies to leadership for review, including feasibility assessments.
  • Designs implementation strategies for integrating projects into daily workflows.
  • Collaborates with analytics team members to extract relevant data for predictive initiatives.
  • Cleans and verifies data through exploratory analysis and consultation with clinical experts and stakeholders.
  • Identifies optimal predictive methods and algorithms to meet project objectives.
  • Builds predictive models and designs user interfaces for pilot evaluation by requestors.
  • Prepares performance evaluation reports on predictive tools for leadership and stakeholders.
  • Partners with requestors to transition models into operational use.
  • Finalizes production-grade applications and establishes monitoring and maintenance protocols.
  • Produces user guides for production systems, including operational and maintenance procedures.
  • Assumes full ownership of deployed applications, managing performance independently and escalating capacity concerns when necessary.
  • Delivers predictive solutions within agreed-upon timelines set by leadership and stakeholders.
  • Collaborates with analytics team members, fostering communication and understanding of roles and processes.
  • Interacts professionally with health system stakeholders and responds promptly to inquiries.
  • Proactively supports customer satisfaction through follow-up and engagement.
  • Maintains comprehensive records of all predictive projects, from planning to monitoring.
  • Writes and reviews user-facing documentation with leadership before final release.
  • Ensures all code is well-documented for clarity and long-term maintainability.
  • Applies version control to code and documentation, maintaining an updated central repository.
  • Demonstrates strong attention to detail, organizational abilities, problem-solving, active listening, creativity, and influence.
  • Leads and coordinates activities for junior data scientists.
  • Provides technical training to IT staff and end users as needed.
