Responsibilities

Design and manage scalable batch and real-time data pipelines using GCP tools like Dataflow, Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub, and Cloud Composer.
Create and maintain robust data infrastructure for high-volume data ingestion and processing.
Develop and oversee a centralized data warehouse in Google BigQuery.
Build optimized data models, schemas, and table structures for performance and long-term scalability.
Write clean, efficient SQL and Python code to convert raw data into structured, analysis-ready datasets.
Develop reliable data transformation workflows to support analytics, reporting, and data science.
Monitor, debug, and tune data systems for performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
Apply BigQuery best practices such as partitioning, clustering, query optimization, and materialized views.
Design and maintain authoritative data models used for business intelligence and reporting.
Ensure data is structured and accessible for BI platforms like Looker and other analytics tools.
Implement automated data quality checks and monitoring systems to ensure pipeline integrity.
Establish data governance, observability, and lineage tracking processes.
Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and scientists to understand data needs and deliver solutions.
Lead communication with clients and stakeholders to translate business requirements into data systems.
Work with product and leadership teams to align data architecture with business goals.
Own data platform decisions and help define the future of analytics infrastructure.
Identify ways to improve data accuracy, automate processes, and unlock new insights.
Promote a collaborative engineering culture through strong communication and teamwork.
