Join 2C2P as a Data Engineer, where you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of our database management, performance optimization, and security compliance. You'll play a critical role in maintaining the integrity and availability of data systems that power our payment solutions in a fast-paced financial technology environment.
What You'll Do
- Install, configure, upgrade, and patch database software.
- Manage database objects including tables, views, indexes, and stored procedures.
- Ensure high availability and implement disaster recovery strategies.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot slow queries, and resolve bottlenecks.
- Optimize database storage and tune queries for performance.
- Plan and implement robust backup and restore procedures.
- Ensure data recovery solutions are in place and tested regularly.
- Implement and maintain database security, including access control and encryption.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
- Provide technical support to developers and application teams on database architecture.
- Troubleshoot issues related to database connectivity, performance, and access.
- Maintain comprehensive database documentation, including architecture diagrams and procedures.
- Generate regular reports on system health, performance, and usage.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Database Administrator or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of database systems such as SQL Server, AWS Aurora MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB Atlas.
- Experience with database backup, recovery, tuning, and optimization.
- Familiarity with cloud databases (e.g., AWS RDS, Alibaba ApsaraDB) is a plus.
- Strong understanding of data security and compliance requirements.
Nice to Have
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft SQL Server Certified, AWS Certified Database – Specialty).
- Experience with automation tools and scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python).
- Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD, or infrastructure as code.
- Analytical and problem-solving mindset.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
