AECOM is hiring a Data Center Senior Construction Manager

Responsibilities

  • Leads end-to-end project execution for new builds and renovations, covering pre-construction, design coordination, construction sequencing, closeout, occupancy, and warranty follow-up.
  • Facilitates collaboration between clients, client vendors, and other key stakeholders to align construction activities with project goals.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in construction scheduling, critical path analysis, and understanding of construction techniques and project logic.
  • Prepares and organizes progress reports and evaluates documentation from various project teams working across assigned initiatives.
  • Provides technical oversight and guidance when necessary, enforces client policies, maintains communication with project personnel, and ensures compliance with design, cost, timeline, and quality standards.
  • Collaborates with the General Contractor to schedule all required inspections and tests per contract or regulatory requirements, and ensures test results are delivered to the Owner and Architect.
  • Evaluates punch list items submitted by contractors, confirms completion and correction of deficiencies, and advises the Owner on readiness for substantial completion.
  • Tracks on-site construction progress, manages field documentation such as RFIs and submittals, and supports engineering coordination with inspection teams.
  • Engages with the General Contractor to schedule and attend all site-related meetings and progress reviews.
  • Aligns with project controls specialists to manage cost and schedule data and ensure accurate project reporting.
  • Reviews and approves contractor payment requests with detailed feedback and final authorization.
  • Assesses the status of off-site stored materials, verifies insurance coverage and sales documentation, and uses this information to support payment evaluations on behalf of the Owner.
