Responsibilities
- Engage with stakeholders through interviews and surveys while analyzing current systems to identify business objectives and data requirements.
- Develop conceptual, logical, and physical data architecture models, along with data flow diagrams and data dictionaries tailored to organizational needs.
- Design and implement data storage systems including data warehouses, data lakes, and operational data stores.
- Select and deploy appropriate data integration methods and ETL workflows to consolidate and transform data from diverse sources.
- Establish data quality standards, conduct data profiling, and oversee data cleansing initiatives.
- Define data security policies, design access controls, and enforce compliance with data protection standards.
- Assess emerging data technologies and tools for compatibility with current infrastructure and recommend strategic upgrades.
- Maintain comprehensive and current documentation of data models, architecture components, and data movement processes.
- Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and scientists to support data architecture initiatives and ensure alignment with project goals.
