Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end project lifecycles, from initiation through closure, ensuring structured execution and control
- Oversee complex, cross-functional initiatives independently, with minimal supervision
- Manage concurrent projects and interdependent workstreams requiring coordinated delivery
- Coordinate, track, and report on technical progress across diverse teams and departments
- Partner with internal and external project managers to align objectives and timelines
- Work closely with software developers, systems operators, and domain specialists
- Lead group discussions and negotiations to build agreement on key decisions
- Establish and maintain project management frameworks, including communication strategies
- Maintain consistent communication with team members and stakeholders throughout project phases
- Keep accurate records of project schedules, budgets, deliverables, and progress updates
- Monitor financial performance and ensure spending remains within approved limits
- Respond quickly to budget variances and financial challenges
- Design and execute change management plans to support successful project adoption
- Proactively identify project risks and create plans to reduce their impact
- Resolve unforeseen issues that emerge during project execution
- Apply structured problem-solving methods and escalation protocols
- Produce final project evaluations, including insights gained and improvement suggestions
- Develop and deliver presentations about project outcomes to various audiences
- Engage effectively with executive-level stakeholders across multiple departments

- This role is a three-year fixed-term appointment
- Applicants must be residents of California at the start of employment
- Candidates must live within commuting distance of the Getty facility
- Minimum of one day per week required on-site at the Getty campus
