About the Role
The analyst will gather, analyze, and disseminate cyber threat intelligence to support risk reduction and incident response. This role involves monitoring threat landscapes, identifying adversary tactics, and delivering timely reports to technical and executive audiences.
Responsibilities
- Collect threat data from open-source, commercial, and proprietary feeds
- Analyze malicious actor behaviors and campaign patterns
- Produce written intelligence reports with clear conclusions
- Identify indicators of compromise linked to known threats
- Assess relevance of threats to organizational assets
- Support incident response with timely threat context
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging vulnerabilities
- Collaborate with security operations teams
- Track adversary infrastructure and tooling
- Translate technical findings for non-technical stakeholders
- Develop and refine threat models
- Contribute to automated threat intelligence pipelines
- Participate in threat-sharing communities
- Monitor dark web and underground forums
- Evaluate threat actor motivations and capabilities
- Map threats to MITRE ATT&CK framework
- Maintain intelligence databases and tagging systems
- Conduct ad-hoc research on emerging threats
- Present findings during security briefings
- Ensure intelligence products meet stakeholder needs
Nice to Have
- Certifications such as GCIH, GCIA, or CISSP
- Experience analyzing APT groups
- Background in law enforcement or defense sectors
- Familiarity with deception technologies
- Knowledge of financial services threat landscape
- Experience with threat hunting methodologies
- Proficiency in foreign languages relevant to threat regions
- Prior work in 24/7 security operations centers
- Contributions to public threat intelligence reports
- Experience mentoring junior analysts
