Comtech LLC is hiring a Cyber Security Design Engineer

Responsibilities

• Define organization-wide security requirements in alignment with applicable regulations and policies.
• Create and execute test strategies for network security infrastructure.
• Evaluate products and analyze trends to identify and recommend initiatives addressing new threats.
• Provide guidance to IT Security Specialists on operational security practices.
• Maintain compliance of security systems with recognized industry benchmarks and service commitments.
• Support continuous operation and reliability of critical enterprise services.
• Conduct security evaluations and deliver detailed assessment reports.
• Map system communication flows, set up firewalls and monitoring tools, and keep network documentation current.
• Carry out system integration, manage patches, respond to incidents, and oversee change control processes.
• Execute and document security audits and evaluation findings.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Contracting Officer's Technical Representative.
• Design and propose technical approaches to resolve moderately complex challenges in network, platform, and system security.
• Apply secure systems engineering principles to analyze requirements and define secure system architectures.
• Formulate project plans grounded in systems engineering practices, aligning performance metrics with risk mitigation, reliability, and resilience objectives.
