Responsibilities
- Support investigations into data security incidents, including active breaches and fraudulent activities
- Conduct digital forensic analysis using established methods and tools to examine electronic evidence
- Apply scientific reasoning and investigative techniques to analyze digital systems and answer critical questions
- Determine the scope of system compromises, including identifying unauthorized access and potential data theft
- Establish and document the chain of custody for digital evidence in a defensible manner
- Use programming and data management skills with languages such as Python, T-SQL, VBA, C#, and tools like Excel to build models and automate processes
- Collaborate with team members and clients to communicate findings and contribute to written reports summarizing investigative procedures and outcomes
- Partner with professionals to design and implement innovative tools that address emerging forensic challenges
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of advancements in digital forensics, e-discovery, incident response, and related technologies
