Charles River Associates is hiring a Cyber & Forensic Technology Consulting Analyst/Associate

Responsibilities

  • Support investigations into data security incidents, including active breaches and fraudulent activities
  • Conduct digital forensic analysis using established methods and tools to examine electronic evidence
  • Apply scientific reasoning and investigative techniques to analyze digital systems and answer critical questions
  • Determine the scope of system compromises, including identifying unauthorized access and potential data theft
  • Establish and document the chain of custody for digital evidence in a defensible manner
  • Use programming and data management skills with languages such as Python, T-SQL, VBA, C#, and tools like Excel to build models and automate processes
  • Collaborate with team members and clients to communicate findings and contribute to written reports summarizing investigative procedures and outcomes
  • Partner with professionals to design and implement innovative tools that address emerging forensic challenges
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of advancements in digital forensics, e-discovery, incident response, and related technologies
