Responsibilities
- Design and build software tools for cyber network operations
- Conduct vulnerability analysis and exploit development
- Perform reverse engineering on binary software
- Develop custom payloads and implants
- Analyze network protocols and traffic patterns
- Create proof-of-concept exploits for identified vulnerabilities
- Write secure, efficient, and maintainable code
- Collaborate with team members on technical solutions
- Maintain operational security during development
- Test and validate tool functionality in controlled environments
- Document technical designs and implementation details
- Stay current with emerging cybersecurity threats
- Apply knowledge of operating system internals
- Work with low-level programming languages
- Optimize code for performance and stealth
- Support integration of tools into operational frameworks
- Troubleshoot and debug complex software issues
- Adapt tools to evolving mission requirements
- Follow secure coding practices
- Participate in peer code reviews
