Role Overview
The Customer Engineer serves as a technical advisor throughout the sales cycle and beyond, partnering closely with sales to demonstrate how AI-powered security solutions address client challenges. This role leads product demonstrations, proof-of-concepts, and security assessments, translating technical capabilities into tangible business outcomes for enterprise stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with sales teams to deliver technical insights during client engagements and support deal progression through tailored demonstrations.
- Design and execute proof-of-concepts that align with client environments, compliance needs, and security objectives.
- Advise on security architecture, risk mitigation, and regulatory standards such as GDPR, HIPAA, and SOC 2.
- Ensure seamless onboarding by working with Customer Success to implement best practices for deployment and adoption.
- Support the development of operational tools, incident response strategies, and documentation to strengthen client security posture.
- Represent the company at industry events, webinars, and client meetings as a subject matter expert.
- Produce technical content—including whitepapers and case studies—to communicate emerging trends in AI-driven security.
- Share customer insights with product teams to influence roadmap decisions and improve platform capabilities.
- Maintain expertise in cloud ecosystems, particularly Google Cloud and Microsoft Azure, to support integrated managed detection and response solutions.
Qualifications
Candidates should have at least five years of experience in cybersecurity and customer-facing technical roles such as solutions engineering or consulting. A strong grasp of security principles, excellent communication abilities, and the capacity to engage executive-level stakeholders are essential. The role requires a valid driver’s license, willingness to travel up to 50%, and the ability to pass a background check.
Preferred qualifications include hands-on experience with SIEM, SOAR, UEBA, threat intelligence platforms, and cloud security tools—especially Google SecOps or Microsoft Sentinel.
Work Environment
This is a hybrid position with remote flexibility, requiring regular travel to client sites. The role demands collaboration across teams to align technical delivery with business goals, while contributing to a culture focused on learning, innovation, and operational excellence.
