Responsibilities
- Respond to mental health emergencies involving children and youth in homes, emergency rooms, or community locations
- Coordinate closely with family members and hospital emergency staff
- Deliver continuous and unified support to families in crisis
- Conduct clinical evaluations of crisis situations with compassion and composure
- Create safety and stabilization strategies in collaboration with youth and their caregivers
- Support youth remaining in the most familiar environment, ideally their own home
- Deliver services in community locations and family residences
- Engage natural supports and community resources to promote lasting safety and stability
