MyFlorida (Department of Management Services) is hiring a Criminal Justice Information Analyst II

MyFlorida’s Department of Management Services is seeking a Criminal Justice Information Analyst II. In this role, you will ensure the integrity and compliance of criminal justice information through detailed research and data management. Reporting to the CJIS Manager I, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate Computerized Criminal History (CCH) records in accordance with state and federal regulations.

What You'll Do

  • Conduct research using internal and external databases to ensure all criminal justice information received or disseminated is accurate, complete, and compliant with state and federal requirements.
  • Research relevant information from multiple databases to support additions, deletions, and modifications to Computerized Criminal History (CCH).
  • Analyze source documents, form recommendations, and enter changes to CCH following the Criminal History Record Maintenance (CHRM) standard operations manual.
  • Resolve difficult, unusual, or questionable issues in the review and processing of criminal justice information.
  • Maintain regular contact with local, state, federal, and out-of-state criminal justice agencies, as well as non-criminal justice agencies, to gather required documentation and clarify record modifications.
  • Ensure quality assurance of all CCH modifications by conducting a secondary review of documentation for completeness and accuracy.
  • Monitor the workflow system for cases pending review.
  • Evaluate changes to CCH records and analyze attached documentation to support each addition, deletion, or modification.
  • Review all relevant information to approve or reject modifications as outlined in the CHRM operations manual.
  • Evaluate incoming requests, apply state and federal rules, laws, and procedures to formulate recommendations, and ensure compliance with agency requirements.

  • Ability to work independently by planning, organizing, and coordinating work assignments.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
  • Must meet and maintain National Crime Information Center (NCIC)/Florida Crime Information Center (FCIC) certification as required.

Team & Environment

You will report directly to a CJIS Manager I.
